How Metro Vancouver involves the public in projects and plans
Air Management Facilities (City of Delta and City of Surrey)
In recent years, there have been odour issues related to the South Surrey Interceptor. Metro Vancouver is taking steps to address odour by constructing a series of air management facilities.
Annacis Island Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements (City of Delta)
Information on ongoing plant improvements, including a new outfall, to meet the needs of the region’s growing population.
Douglas Road Sewer (City of Burnaby)
In order to accommodate future growth in the City of Burnaby, Metro Vancouver is building a new sewer called the Douglas Road Sewer
Foster Avenue Sewer Upgrade (City of Vancouver)
Sewer upgrade along Foster Avenue between Tyne Street and Ormidale Street.
Front Street Sewer Upgrade
This spring, the Front Street Sewer Upgrade will take place at the intersection of Columbia Street and Front Street and includes the installation of a sewer chamber.
Gilbert Road Sewer (City of Richmond)
Multi-phase project to upgrade and twin an existing sewer between Hollybridge Way and Bridgeport Road.
Highbury Interceptor Air Management Facility (City of Vancouver)
Construction of an air management facility near a large sewer (interceptor) in Musqueam Park to treat sewer odour.
North Road Sewer (City of Burnaby and City of Coquitlam)
The North Road Sewer pipe collects sewage from Burnaby and Coquitlam, and carries it to the Annacis Island Wastewater Treatment Plant.
North Shore Wastewater Treatment Plant (District of North Vancouver)

Jervis Pump Station Upgrade
Metro Vancouver will be adding a back-up power supply to the existing Jervis Pump Station to provide a reliable power supply during power outages.
