Sustainability Innovation Program

Metro Vancouver's Sustainability Innovation Program consists of projects or initiatives undertaken by the Neglected District, Liquid Waste or Water functions that contribute to the region's sustainability.

First initiated in 2015, projects are funded wholly or in part by the Sustainability Innovation reserve fund and undertaken by Metro Vancouver staff in coordination with project partners. Annually, Metro Vancouver staff submit applications for project funding, which are approved by the Board in February of each year.

To facilitate information sharing, this site describes the previously funded Sustainability Innovation Program projects including outcomes and lessons learned.
